2 More Months Down!
Just when I thought my belly couldn't possibly stretch any more, it goes and doubles in size! Seriously! The change from 6 to 7 months was drastic, but the difference between 7 and 8 months is simply unbelievable. Luckily, all the growth has been limited to my belly so far - Mom swears it looks like I have a basketball stuffed under my shirt. Over the months, I've gone from volleyball, to soccer ball, to basketball. What's next? Beach ball??? I can only imagine what next month is going to bring!

3-D Ultrasound-Round 2
Yesterday we had our second and final 3-D ultrasound. Despite the Dr. Pepper I drank just before my appointment, our little girl slept right through most of the session! I could feel her moving around, but I think it was mostly in response to us poking at my belly in our failed attempts to get her to move her arm away from her face. No luck! We did manage to get a few good shots of our Sleeping Beauty, though. She of course woke up and was full of energy about 30 minutes after our session was over!
Our Baby Girl at 31 Weeks!
That is a FOOT up near the top of her head! Space must be getting quite cramped!
Big Yawn! I told you she was tired.

Glucose Smucose!
Today was my 28 week check-up. I am officially into my THIRD TRIMESTER!!! I can't believe it... Only 12 more weeks to go. Along with today's doctor visit came the much dreaded Glucose Test everyone had been warning me about. Maybe I built it up to be so awful I could only be pleasantly surprised, but it actually wasn't all that bad. I chugged that super sweet orange liquid like there was an Aggie Ring at the bottom of the container! The nurse was quite impressed. I should be getting the results back within a couple of days, so hopefully all is well. The doctor said our baby girl is getting big, and at this stage in the game I will now be visiting her office every two weeks instead of every four to monitor our progress. I registered at the hospital where I will be delivering this afternoon, giving me yet another dose of reality. AND... Our first baby shower is in two weeks, July 10th, at Brent's family's church. The first item was purchased off my registry today! So exciting!!! Of course, thanks to my mom, our little girl already has quite the wardrobe started. Good thing she has a walk-in closet in her room! I should be going in for my second 3-D Ultrasound here in a couple of weeks, so don't forget to check back by for updated pictures. Until then...

Bump it Up!
Ok... several of you have been asking about "belly pics". Since Mom has been diligently documenting my progress each month, I guess I will share the results of my ever-growing baby bump with all of you as well. My tummy really seemed to pop out at around 5 months, and now each morning when I wake up, I swear it's grown another inch over night. Gotta love Palmer's Cocoa Butter! So get ready... at your request, here's months 3 thru 6!

Tickled Pink!
On May 5th, we had our 20 week sonogram. I am very happy to announce that Baby Winkler is healthy and strong and that everything looks great. What a relief! God is wonderful and amazing. The baby is getting big, and my belly has popped out almost overnight! Those "little taps" I spoke of before are becoming more and more aggressive. The baby is so much more active, and her kicks are getting stronger and stronger. I can only imagine what it's going to feel like in the final weeks! I still get sick once in the morning every three days... seriously, it's like clockwork... but other than that, I feel wonderful. Brent and I just feel so extremely blessed, and we can't wait to meet our little girl. Yes, it's a GIRL!!! 20 weeks down... 20 to go. I can't believe we are halfway there!

Baby's First Pictures
So we had our 3D/4D ultrasound this week. Although we were really hoping we might find out what was growing inside, the technician just couldn't confidently make a call on the sex. It was such an amazing experience, though. This was my first sonogram, and seeing the baby for the first time was unbelievable. There really is a baby in there! We saw it smile, suck its thumb, and even yawn. Being so small, the baby is still really bony, and the skin is pretty much transparent, but I wanted to share a few of the pics.
Meet Baby Winkler!
Smiling
Big Yawn!

Cliff Notes: The First 16 Weeks!
Let me bring you up to speed...
The first 14 1/2 weeks of my pregnancy, I was sick as a dog! Whoever came up with the term "Morning Sickness" definitely got it wrong. "All Day Sickness" would be more appropriate. And cravings? What are those??? I longed for the day I would be able to eat again, let alone something actually sound appealing. I tried everything. Crackers, Sprite, Vitamin B6, Ginger Snaps, Lemons, Toast... I even wore those ridiculous SeaBands. Nothing worked! All I can say is thank goodness for Zofran. That is the only thing that allowed me to eat at all. Finally, a little after 14 weeks, the nausea began to fade. I still take a Zofran every day, but I haven't gotten sick in over 2 weeks, and my appetite is making a comeback! I still haven't had any cravings, but I'm sure those are soon to come.
I felt the baby move for the first time this past weekend!!! I don't even know how to put this part in to words other than to say, Simply Amazing! I wasn't sure if I'd even recognize movement this early, but those little "taps" are undeniable. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, or what kind of day I'm having, when they happen, it brings a smile to my face. Although, I'm sure he/she is just trying to find more leg room, it's like the little one is saying, "Hey!".
So now you're pretty much caught up. I am almost 17 weeks, and dying to find out what we're having. My doctor doesn't perform sonograms until 20 weeks. That just seems like way too long to wait! I want to know now! I've scheduled a 3D/4D ultrasound for next Thursday, the 22nd. Hopefully they will be able to tell us whether we'll be bringing home a baby boy or girl. Any guesses???

We have a bun in the oven!
So, on January 19th, I decided to take a pregnancy test, and lo and behold, it was POSITIVE! Could this be right? After another test, just to make sure, followed by a visit to my doctor, it was confirmed:
We are so excited and happy as can be,
because Brent and Tiff will soon be
THREE!
So get out your calendar, and mark the date.
We're having a baby and can hardly wait!
Expected Due Date: September 23, 2010
So here goes nothing...
Alright... Historically, I have not been very good at this kind of thing. I have never been accused of being a great communicator. Phone calls and e-mails are not my strong point. However, in light of recent developments (yes, I'm pregnant!), I have been asked to create a blog so that you, my family and friends, can follow along as both Mom and Baby grow! I will do my best to keep everyone updated with pictures and posts, and hopefully, I will get better at this as we go along.
